Bad News... followed shortly by Good News!

    So I may have mentioned in an earlier journal that I had my bike stolen last year (last halloween weekend), and ever since then I have made sure to take better care of locking my second bike and keeping it out of the clutches of thieves....

WELP... Guess what got stolen today!   Unfortunately as I stopped for a quick look in a book store on my bike ride this Sunday afternoon, a man and a woman took advantage of my lock-less bike and stole it, mind you, this was BROAD DAYLIGHT, in a highly active area. I guess my assumptions that it would be fine for TWO FRIGGIN' MINUTES was wrong. Anyway, I was able to report the theft to a police officer and mall security, and with the help of a few witnesses, described the thieves themselves. 
Despite the lost, my faith in humanity was confirmed by this event, for the two people to tried to mess my day, there where 12 MORE willing to try and make it better, from people telling me what they looked like, to a couple willing to drive around and look for them and the bike, to another witness who, out of pure kindness and sympathy reimbursed my lost with a roll of 20$ Bills! Seriously! I tried to give them back but he wouldn't take them.
